    I know this is an old post but noticed some of your questions were not addressed. Cylinder heads can be selected for a give cubic inch or liter by the intake port volume in cc's. To select a head for a 5.7 or 5.0 engine stay below 200cc. For an small block Chevy or Ford engine 400+ cubic inches select a head 220cc up to 250cc. Flow numbers ...

    I like to use engine assembly lube by Mellings or Sealed Power. Another assemble lube for bearings and camshafts is Isky Cam lube. It's a molylube based hi-temp hi-pressure lube. I like to use motor oil on the rings and in the cylinders. Use the same brand and viscosity you plan on using when the engine is in use. You can check piston to ...

    I have been porting cylinder heads for 37 years. I have ran ported cylinder heads on most of my personal vehicles. You will notice a performance gain and possiblly an increase in gas mileage.
