i stumbled across this site by the name printed on the bags a set of heads i bought came in. they are sb chevy heads 333882 castings. the machine work looks great, 2.02 int 1.6 exh 7/16 studs with guide plates. the question is a couple of the intake ports have had some grinding done to them and it looks like a 2 year old did it. not smooth at all. my concern was if this was a cover up for a weld repair? if thats even done. i don't know??         i was going to run these heads on my race car.

This could be a weld repair that was not completely finished. Or it could have been an amateur attempt at porting. It would be hard to say without seeing them. You should contact your local engine builder and let them have a look. If you need a number for someone in your area, please contact me.
